Crowds make their way in and out of an Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska C-17 Globemaster III, while it is displayed on the first day of the public portion of the 2011 Australia International Airshow on March 4. The U.S. and Australian alliance spans more than 60 years and provides an opportunity for U.S and senior military officials to engage with their Australian counterparts, and ultimately contribute toward interoperability between the two forces.
