Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Tristan De Delva, a Seabee assigned to Underwater Construction Team 2’s Construction Diving Detachment ALFA (CDDA), enters the water from a DS36 diving support boat. CDDA is currently conducting underwater rigging and weight handling operations as part of a project to inspect and maintain Naval Base Guam’s fleet mooring systems. CDDA is on the second stop of their six-month deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
