    Once the red phosphorous is extracted, it goes through the same conversion process as white phosphorous to become phosphoric acid. The phosphoric acid is then sold as agricultural fertilizer and the metal is sent to be locally recycled. Pictured here, white phosphorus canisters are prepared to go through the conversion process.
