Adm. Harry B. Harris Jr., U.S. Pacific Command commander, spoke at a press conference Aug. 22 held at the Battery D, 6-52 Air Defense Artillery Battalion, tactical site on Osan Air Base, South Korea, in front of two PATRIOT launching stations.
With more than a dozen U.S. and international media outlets on hand, the panel of flag officers took questions from the press about missile defense and rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Adm. Harris reiterated to the reporters diplomacy was the most important thing.
