Spc. Steven Long, a parachute rigger with the 647th Quartermasters Company, and a Hickory, N.C., native, pulls parachute strings as he tightens the pack on Fort Bragg, N.C., Feb. 22. Parachutes like this were used to airdrop heavy cargo into a recent Joint Operation Access Exercise in Sicily Drop Zone. “The crew here works hard, and are confident that they can complete the mission no matter what,” Sgt. Matthew Butler, a production non-commissioned officer with the 647th Quartermaster Co., said.
