Haley Tyrrell, a 7-year-old, became a pilot for a day Feb. 18 after being selected for the “Pilot for a Day” program by Joint-Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Haley recently conquered brain cancer and to celebrate her victory she was given a tour of a military working dog demonstration, a C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft and was taught to fly the plane in an advanced simulator.
