SOUTH CHINA SEA (Aug. 23, 2017) Aviation Support Equipment Technician 3rd Class Angus Moss, a native of Columbus, Indiana, assigned to the Air department aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), directs an UH-1Y Venom, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (reinforced) on the flight deck. San Diego, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
