Two F-16 Fighting Falcons with the 555th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron sit on the flightline at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Aug. 22, 2017. The F-16 is a multi-role fighter and is the lynchpin of close air support from BAF. It can employ multiple weapons and can fly 1,500 miles per hour, making it essential to providing fires from above when troops on the ground are engaging the enemy.
