Spc. Miguel Balladeres, originally from San Diego, command driver for the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, empties a box of toothpaste bottles onto the assembly line, so that they can be put in care packages for deployed troops Feb. 10 at the Soldiers’ Angels headquarters in San Antonio. The brigade sends Soldiers down to San Antonio on a weekly basis to help make care packages for their counterparts who are deployed. Soldiers’ Angels is a non-profit, volunteer- led organization that provides assistance for service members and their families. One way they do that is by sending care packages filled with basic necessities to service members while they are deployed.
