SOUDA BAY, Greece (July 4, 2017) The Royal Marines Boarding Team (RMBT), embarked on HMS Duncan, made use of the facilities at the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operations Training Centre (NMIOTC) while in port July 3 and 4. The first day saw the team carry out training aboard the training ship, HS Aris (A-74), comprising of room clearing during a boarding scenario. The team then carried out underway training on the second day, boarding and searching the vessel. NMIOTC has multiple assets that allow for effective training to NATO naval units. The Greek naval ship HS Aris is used for small arms training, tactical sweep, crew control and other practical exercise related to boarding vessels. NATO Photo by LPhot Paul Hall/Released.
