An Iraqi Army soldier from 1st Battalion, 11th Brigade, 3rd Iraqi Army Division, lays down suppressive fire while rehearsing Battle Drill 1l at the Guzlani Warrior Training Center located on Contingency Operating Site Marez, Iraq, Jan. 10. The purpose of the GWTC is to train the Iraqi Army on conducting battalion size operations. The GWTC is staffed by soldiers from 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. Soldiers with 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, are deployed in support of Operation New Dawn.
