Japanese Ground Self Defense Force Western, Infantry Regiment soldiers and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit Marines stand at attention as Ruffles and Flourishes plays during the opening ceremony of Exercise Iron Fist here Feb. 8. During the exercise, Marines, sailors and soldiers will be able to work together and improve their amphibious capabilities while strengthening the bond between the U.S. and Japan.
