Sgt. Kevin Peach, an infantryman with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Medal by Lt. Col. Reginald McClam, commanding officer of 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, during a battalion formation at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 8, 2017. Peach was awarded for rescuing a man from a burning vehicle on I-5 in California.
