PACIFIC OCEAN (July 24, 2017) Marines assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit's Aviation Combat Element prepare to launch the RQ-21A Blackjack off the flight deck of amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). The Blackjack fosters transformational advancements in battlespace and command situational awareness enhancing the lethal and nonlethal capability of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. San Diego, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
