The Ziarat-e Shah Maqsud Shrine Shrine rests at the base of a mountain as seen here, Jan. 23, in Khakrez District, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. The shrine, according to area Afghans, is the third holiest in the country and is visited by thousands of Muslims each year.
