    Petty Officer 1st Class Christopher Clendening, a boatswain’s mate aboard the Coast Guard cutter Rollin Fritch, shows Sen. Tom Carper the ship’s ability to deploy a small boat to board vessels and perform rescues in Wilmington Delaware, July 28, 2017.

    Carper was given a tour of the 154-foot fast response cutter based out of Cape May, New Jersey, as well as explanations of the ship’s capabilities and missions.
