Staff Sgt. Nicholas “Bruce” Davis, a cannon crew member and section chief assigned to C Battery, 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division Artillery, 101st Airborne Division, rescued Rick and Sharon Steiert from a burning car June 9, 2017. Davis selflessly put himself in harms way to rescue them and received a nomination for the Soldier’s Medal from his unit.
