Sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Ponce lift a landing craft personnel, large, from the water after transporting sailors assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Cape St. George, in background, back to their ship. The ships exchanged personnel to observe ships operations. Ponce is part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, and Cape St. George is part of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group. Both ships are supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
