170718-N-CU914-011 MINNEAPOLIS (July 18, 2017) –Chief Navy Diver Noah Gottesman, a native of Gaithersburg, Md., reflects back to ten years ago when he was called to assist local, state and federal authorities in finding missing victims in the wake of the bridge collapse while he was attached to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2. Gottesman returned to the area for an interview with NBC KARE 11 reporter Kent Erdahl, during Minneapolis/St. Paul Navy Week. Navy Week programs serve as the Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country without a significant Navy presence, with 195 Navy Weeks held in 71 different U.S. cities.
