Sgt. Michael Tovar of the 250th Transportation Company out of El Monte, Calif., observes to make sure his load is secure as U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 250th TC, 304th Sustainment Brigade, 311th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) prepare to transport sections of a causeway bridge from Marine Corps Logistics Base in Yermo, Calif., to the Port of San Diego as a part of Big LOTS West 17. The causeway was transported across country from Virginia as a part of the annual training exercise, giving members of the Army Reserve real-world training. Once all the sections of the causeway reaches the Port of San Diego, U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers will assemble the entire structure.
