Spc. Michael Hardiman, a native of Reno, Nev., who serves on the personal security detachment for the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), goes onto the roof of the school in Ibrahim Sallal village, Iraq, on Feb. 3 to set up radio equipment for the temporary command post there. Soldiers of Company B, 2-14 air-assaulted into the village, which had seen not seen the presence of U.S. forces in almost a year, during the early-morning hours.
