Sergeant Jolene Salter, a medic with 3rd Health Support Battalion, 17th Combat Service Support Brigade, uses special-effects makeup to create a simulated hand injury on Private Sarah Nixon, a medic with 2nd General Health Battalion, 17th CSS Brigade, at Williamson Air Field, Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Queensland, Australia, July 8, 2017 during Talisman Saber 17. Australian Army soldiers with 17th CSS Brigade conducted a mass-casualty exercise at Williamson Air Field hospital to practice Role 2 advanced trauma care and procedures that are used in a deployed environment. Exercises like Talisman Saber provide effective and intense training to ensure our forces are capable, interoperable, deployable on short notice and combat-ready. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
