Seeking maximum realism for the 183d AES' upcoming mission of transporting injured patients, a simulated injured Senior Airmen Joanne Poplin stands ready for the upcoming mission. The Mississippi Air National Guard's 183d Air Evacuation Squadron conducts mission essential in-flight training aboard a 172d Airlift Wing C-17. Crew members gained experience with medical equipment setup, simulated in-flight emergencies and simulated patient care. This training enables 183d AES personnel to hone their medical skills for real-world missions.
