Chief Warrant Officer Smokey Hansen, the automotive maintenance officer for Forward Support Company G, 5th Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, places an ornament on the the Marez Chapel Christmas tree. Each ornament holds a prayer request from a soldier and will remain on the tree through Christmas. Many of these soldiers have been deployed to Iraq multiple times and are currently deployed to U.S. Division-North as part of their year-long deployment in support of Operation New Dawn.
