170627-N-TI567-101 STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- An international student attending the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School's Patrol Craft Officer - Coastal course participates in a casualty evaluation drill after familiarization training on the M240B machine gun on range facilities at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
PCOC is an eight-week maritime course designed to provide personnel with the knowledge and skills to operate coastal patrol craft in a patrol setting in accordance with approved doctrine.
The 10 students participating in Class 17-4's iteration of PCOC represent the countries of Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru.
NAVSCIATTS is a Security Cooperation schoolhouse operating under U.S. Special Operations Command in support of Foreign Security Assistance and Geographic Combatant Commanders' Theater Security Cooperation priorities.
