Rear Adm. James Foggo, deputy commander, U.S. 6th Fleet, speaks to representatives from the European Law Enforcement Agency, the Serious Organized Crime Agency, the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service and police investigators and analysts from 11 different countries during a workshop dedicated to the creation of a unified manual to use when investigating and prosecuting acts of maritime piracy. The workshop lasted two days and was a collaboration between EUROPOL, SOCA and the NCIS with a goal to finalize relevant issues regarding investigative standard manual and to make the manual available to the international law enforcement community.
