Staff Sgt. Jacinta Bonner, a transportation control non-commissioned officer with the 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), assists students with the cake walk, a game, similar to musical chairs, in which the winner gets a cake, Dec. 2 at Pierce Elementary School’s Winter Festival. Helping at school events allows soldiers to give back to the community and hopefully be seen as role models, Bonner said.
