Lt. Edward R. Utz, a graduate medical education intern at Naval Medical Center San Diego, performs an ear exam on patient Lt. Sarah E. Dixon. NMCSD’s GME program focus is to develop the clinical and professional skills of interns, residents and fellows through education, mentorship, operational and humanitarian efforts and clinical skills. NMCSD has 24 accredited programs such as obstetrician gynecologist, internal medicine and orthopedics. Currently there are over 70 interns in the 2011 GME program. (HIPAA Complete)
