ADAZI, Latvia — A Latvian Land Force Soldier raises his head from his weapon as he continues to fire blanks from his position amongst branches in a Saber Strike exercise, June 4. The Latvian Soldier fires at Polish and Slovakian tanks in a field not too far from his position. The Latvian Infantrymen pose a hasty defense while the Polish and Slovakian armed forces assume the hasty attack roles. Saber Strike is a U.S. Army Europe-led multinational combined forces training exercise in the Baltic region. The exercise tests the capability of multiple nations to act against a threat.
