U.S. Army Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, march to a monument dedication ceremony in Montebourg, Normandy, France, June 3, 2017. The monument honors the 4th Inf. Div.’s liberation of Montebourg June 19, 1944, in commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of D-Day, the largest multi-national amphibious landing and operational military airdrop in history. Currently deployed in Romania in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, 3rd ABCT Soldiers are conducting bilateral training and multi-national exercises with NATO Allies and partners to highlight the U.S.’ steadfast commitment to collective defense and cooperative security.
