NORFOLK (June 5, 2017) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Jose Gonzalez makes one of the first purchases from Ship's Serviceman 3rd Class Jennifer White after reopening the ship's store aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). A portion of the profits are donated directly back to Wasp's morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR). Wasp is currently undergoing a planned incremental availability maintenance period at BAE systems Naval Shipyard while making preparations for its upcoming homeport shift to Sasebo, Japan.
