U.S. Marines Sgt. Joseph Gordon, a rifleman, and Lance Cpl. Nicholas Carpenter, a mortorman, both with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command, conducts striking techniques after being sprayed with OC during non-lethal weapons training while forward deployed in the Middle East, May 11, 2017. The training ensures SPMAGTF Marines are prepared to respond to a variety of scenarios that may occur across the USCENTCOM area of operations. SPMAGTF-CR-CC is a well-trained crisis response unit that has the ability to project combat power over vast distances using organic aviation, logistical, and ground combat assets.
