NEW YORK (May 28, 2017) Machinist Mate Petty Officer 2nd Class, Sayerr Cox, assigned to USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) and member of the U.S. Navy’s tug of war team, congratulates a member of the U.S. Marine Corps’ tug of war team after the Navy’s seventh consecutive tug of war win. The event was hosted by the Fox & Friends morning show during 2017 Fleet Week New York (FWNY). FWNY, now in its 29th year, is the city’s time honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services.
