U.S. Army Sgt. Derek Tso, crew chief, 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York, prepares the CH-47 Chinook at Kuldiga for a hot load, which is where occupants enter and/or exit an aircraft while it is in operation, May 27. Soldiers of 3-10 GSAB operates CH-47s to three locations to provide flight transportation during an exercise which allows Latvian hospitals and national guard units to respond to emergencies. The 3-10 GSAB unit is currently in Leilvarde Air Base, Latvia, to support Operation Atlantic Resolve, which is a U.S. -led endeavor to fulfill the U.S. commitment to NATO by rotating throughout Europe and training alongside NATO Allies and partners.
