Marines assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) enjoy their leisure time by fishing from the lower deck aboard amphibious transport dock USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) May 14, 2017. Fishing is one of many events sponsored by the ship’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program. The 24th MEU is underway with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
