170512-N-ME988-516 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 12, 2017) Sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) participate in a working party during a replenishment-at-sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
