Williamson toured the ship and other repair facilities in Guam to assess current maintenance operations and capabilities. Land and USS Frank Cable (AS 40), the U.S. Navy’s only two submarine tenders, are both homeported in Apra Harbor, Guam, and provide maintenance, hotel services, and logistical support to submarines and surface ships in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation.
