Military Working Dog Chyan is held by his handler Sgt. Brandon Hiller, Glenmont, Ohio, as he bites Pvt. Tristan Roberts, West Hartford, Conn., a Multinational Battle Group East Soldier from the Connecticut National Guard, while he wears a hidden sleeve. Hiller said the hidden sleeve helps the dogs not to get used to seeing the bite training equipment, such as bite suits or larger bite sleeves in an effort to mitigate hesitation in a real life situation, while keeping volunteers safe from the crushing jaws of a MWD.
