ARABIAN GULF (May 7, 2017) Capt. James McCall III, commander, Carrier Air Wing 8, and Cmdr. Kevin Robb, commanding officer of the "Blacklions" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213, taxi on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in an F/A-18F Super Hornet prior to McCall's 1,000th arrested landing. The ship is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
