A Marine primes an improvised forged platter charge during a demolitions range at Fort A.P. Hill, Va., April 26, 2017. When a platter charge detonates, it forms a projectile that is propelled by the explosion. Marines conducted the training in preparation for an upcoming deployment and to increase confidence with the employment of demolition charges. The Marines are with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion.
