NEWPORT NEWS, VA (May 9, 2017) Operations Specialist 3rd Class Ian Boisvert from Boston, stands the aft starboard buoy watch as Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) transits from Newport News Shipbuilding for sea trials. Abraham Lincoln is underway after successfully completing its mid-life refueling and complex overhaul and will spend several days conducting sea trials, a comprehensive test of many of the ship’s key systems and technologies.
