Montgomery Alabama’s own U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Eddie Lawrence, command ATARS operator for the 335th Signal Command (Theater), grades Master Sgt. Anthony Florence, 335th broadcast noncommissioned officer, during the sit-up event of the Army Physical Fitness Test in East Point, Ga., May 6, 2017. The APFT is designed to test the muscular strength, endurance, and cardiovascular respiratory fitness of soldiers in the Army. Soldiers are scored based on their performance in three events consisting of the push-up, sit-up, and a two-mile run, ranging from 0 to 100 points in each event.
