MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit encourage Cpl. Omar Perez, an engineer equipment mechanic with the 11th MEU, to climb over a log during the obstacle course portion of the Martial Arts Instructor Course aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii on May 1, 2017. The MAIC is a three week long course that puts students through various training to include paper test, physical training and evaluations on properly teaching techniques.
