Spc. Juan Valencia, a sniper with C Troop, 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, is recognied by U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. during a ceremony at Brigade Headquarters, Oct. 29. Valencia and teammate, Spc. Mason Heller, C Troop, 1/73, placed eighth in their class at the International Sniper Competition in Fort Benning, Ga., Oct. 12-15.
