1st Lt. Rob Hughes, an officer with the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and a resident of Mission, Kansas, talks to graduates of the Yavoriv Combat Training Center's Observer Controller Trainer Academy during a graduation ceremony on April 25 at the Yavoriv CTC on the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, near Yavoriv, Ukraine.
Hughes is one of the U.S. mentors who helps teach the combined U.S. and Ukrainian class that teaches Ukrainian leaders to better train their own units without the help of international forces. He challenged the graduates to remember the two charges given to them while at the academy: improve the training, improve the units.
