CAMP BUEHRING, KUWAIT (April 11, 2017)— Cpl. Nicholas Turano, a team leader assigned to Lima Co., 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, walks ahead of his fire team to set up for reaction to contact drill at Camp Buehring, Kuwait April 11. The Marines are at Buehring for a sustainment training evolution. The 24th MEU is currently deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
