The Coastal Carolina Agricultural Fair has lit up the city of New Bern, N.C., for a week and will continue through Oct. 23. Sponsored by the Craven County Jaycees and the Cooperative Extension offices in Craven, Pamlico, Jones and Carteret counties, the fair themed, “Eastern Nights and Carnival Lights,” offers dozens of rides including a Ferris wheel and bumper boats, an array of food and fried treats, blue ribbon 4-H farm animals, games, a mechanical bull and vendors selling original crafts, like chainsaw wood carvings. Admission into the Craven County Fairgrounds costs $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and children age 4 and under enter free.
