Mahe Island, Seychelles (November 8, 2006) – Chief Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician Tom O'Brien from EOD Mobile Unit 4 Detachment 12 out of Manama, Bahrain, demonstrates how to remove a limpet mine from the hull of a vessel during exercise Island Response. The training allowed divers from the Seychelles Coast Guard to practice removing the mines from ship hulls. The annual exercise is geared toward increasing the interoperability of U.S. Navy divers and divers from the Seychelles Coast Guard.
