Staff Sgt. Christopher Ballance, an infantry unit leader and instructor in the Infantry Mortar Leader’s Course aboard Camp Geiger, goes over mortar gunnery techniques with a student in the IMLC, Oct. 14. Not only has Ballance done exceptionally well as an athlete outside of the Marine Corps, he has also excelled as a Marine combat instructor in his battalion.
