    170328-N-FT178-104 PHILIPPINE SEA (March 27, 2017) Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Murasame-class destroyer JDS Yudachi (DD 103), and Murasame-class destroyer JDS Samidare (DD 106) participate in a photo exercise in the Philippine Sea. Carl Vinson is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of the U.S. 3rd Fleet in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
